A 1972 graduate of the Western Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Maxine has been a nurse for over thirty years. Following a short stint as a nurse at “the old Western”, Maxine went to work as a Public Health Nurse after obtaining a Diploma of Community Health from Memorial University in 1977.

In 1992, along with her husband, she established MAXimum Home Support Services Inc. to serve the home support sector of community health care.

Possessing an easy-going style, Maxine soon found herself well suited to the needs of home support. Recognizing the essentials of home care, she created a company that was business-like but with a caring attitude. Our motto soon became, “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.” By putting her clients first, she ensured the success of her company.

On a personal level, Maxine has used her business resources to make a financial contribution to her church to aid in their tsunami relief effort. In her spare time she has, when required, collected for the local food bank.
